I walked into the kitchen this morning and took one look at the ripe bananas in the fruit bowl and they were screaming out, Banana Cake! I had some sour cream in the fridge too so I decided to search online for a cake combining both ingredients, it didn’t take me long and I found this yummy recipe on
Baking Bites. I love Bundt cakes; they make an everyday plain cake look elegant and perfect for this marbled effect cake! The cake has a light moist texture, from the wonderful combination of the sour cream and bananas, with the chocolate adding even more of a perfect balance of flavours. This is definitely a great cake to whip up when ripe bananas are screaming to be used.

What a beautiful photo of Madison... he is simply gorgeous!
Loving the marbled cake... it's something I've ye to master.
Kittie has a wonderful life - not a care in the world.
You would seriously laugh at the bananas I brought home today. You know how the supermarkets sometimes sell them off when they're getting over ripe. I bought 2 HUGE bags at $0.79/bag - well what would you do. We make bundt cake, banana bread, banana brownies and then freeze the rest of the bananas.
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. I have passed on all the sweet comments for Madison ;o)

Awwww, I just love Madison, he is so gorgeous! Would love to give him a cuddle.
What a delicious looking cake!! It really looks special made in the bundt tin. I also have some overripe bananas in my kitchen (as I always do!) so I think a banana cake will have to be made today!
Look at the puddy cat :) :) and your cake is gorgeous too!
Maria what a handsome cat you've got.
That cake looks scrumptious too, bundt cakes are so elegant aren't they.
Mmm, I love the marbled effect! Looks delicious; I'd love a piece of that for breakfast (I don't think my breakfasting habits are normal).
