Deluxe version of Malteser Traybake. I came across this amazing version of the malteser traybake at Ruth's blog,
Ruth's Kitchen Experiments (well worth a visit)! Malteser traybake has been a big favourite in my home since its discovery, being so addictive it is polished off within a couple of days (if your lucky). I've had a sneaky nibble when cutting the traybake and know once my boys get a taste there won't be a crumb left on the plate! I can only say that this version will be made many more times and is an overall winner in my books!

Wow! I try to avoid making malteser cake as I can't resist it....this one look too good not to make.
I'll be upgrading my recipe from now on! Yours looks so neat too, mine always looks like it's been through the mangle!
Thanks everyone for the comments. OMG these are seriously good..I only had that nibble when cutting them as I am staying away from high calorific food at the moment but this is definitely a once in a while treat!

Ruth thanks so much! I have to admit my boys didn't plough their way through these as fast as normally (they found them very rich and could only eat 1 square, instead of 2 at each sitting) but none the less they are finished now and they were enjoyed!

OMG you're making me drool all over my keyboard Maria.
Ok so it sometimes takes me a while to get around to making the things I get off this website but I finally did this at the weekend and LOVED it!! It was ridiculously nice although is crazily rich, I couldn't shove as much of it in my mouth as I would normally. Definitely a winner!
